Overview

PE Industries needed a website that better represented the company’s services, credibility, and business priorities.

The existing site was a homegrown solution that functioned more like an electronic billboard than a full business website. It provided basic visibility, but it did not do enough to organize services, support search visibility, communicate professionalism, or guide prospective customers.

The redesign was completed using WordPress and Elementor within an aggressive four-day timeline.

Challenge & Opportunity

The primary challenge was speed.

The site needed to be redesigned, structured, populated, reviewed, and launched quickly while still improving the company’s web presence and supporting future SEO and SEM efforts.

The opportunity was to move PE Industries away from a static online billboard and toward a more professional, service-focused website that better reflected its commercial, industrial, and residential work.

Audience Prioritization

The site needed to speak to multiple audiences, but not all audiences carried the same business priority.

Based on the content and business focus, commercial customers appeared to be the strongest priority, followed by industrial customers and then homeowners.

  • Commercial customers
  • Industrial customers
  • Residential homeowners

This helped inform content hierarchy, imagery, and overall presentation so the site could feel credible to larger business prospects while still remaining approachable for residential users.

My Contribution

My role focused on design execution, structure, template selection, visual direction, and image sourcing.

  • Selected and implemented the best-fitting Elementor template
  • Helped shape page structure and content hierarchy
  • Researched and referenced appropriate stock photography
  • Balanced client-provided photography with stock imagery
  • Supported visual presentation for commercial, industrial, and residential audiences
  • Coordinated with the content writer, client, and database engineer
  • Helped move the site from concept to launch within four days

The Design Decision That Made It Work

The biggest design decision was choosing the right Elementor template and implementing it effectively.

With such a compressed timeline, the template could not simply look good. It needed to support the right page structure, service hierarchy, imagery, calls to action, and overall business tone.

Selecting the correct foundation allowed the team to move quickly without sacrificing the credibility or organization of the final site.

Photography & Visual Direction

Imagery played an important role in helping the redesign feel more professional and relevant.

The client provided some photography, while most images were sourced from stock. The goal was to select visuals that aligned with PE Industries’ service areas and reinforced a credible commercial and industrial presence.

Image selection became one of the most important design tasks because the right photography helped elevate the site beyond a simple informational presence.

SEO / SEM Foundation

The redesign was also intended to create a stronger foundation for future SEO and SEM work.

A more organized website structure, clearer content hierarchy, improved service presentation, and stronger visual credibility all contributed to a more useful platform for future search and marketing efforts.

While the project was completed quickly, the new site gave PE Industries a stronger base to build from.

Outcome

The redesigned site launched successfully within an aggressive four-day timeline.

The project replaced a homegrown, billboard-like web presence with a more professional WordPress and Elementor site that better supported PE Industries’ commercial, industrial, and residential audiences.

The result was a stronger and more structured web presence that created a better foundation for future SEO, SEM, and customer acquisition efforts.

Reflection

This project reinforced the importance of making smart decisions quickly.

With more time, I would have preferred deeper content review, additional client-specific photography, and more refinement around copywriting and service messaging.

Still, the project succeeded because the most important structural decisions were made early: choose the right template, support the right audience, select credible imagery, and build a site that could launch quickly without feeling rushed.

Speed creates opportunity. Good judgment determines whether that opportunity succeeds.
